Way back in the foot hills of Kentucky and the backwoods of Tennessee there were people not quite done with their gospel roots but possibly they may have stumbled upon some pentacostal ways once they picked up those serpents and danced their way through their fear. We never knew anything about all that... We just loved our rock and roll heros despite their possible foibles and social indiscretions. You know ... we are all rebels in one way or another... but this crossover song from The Killer himself, Jerry Lee Lewis, was just the kind of high-tailin, rootin tootin New Grass Revivalism that made believers smile.
It sure was lots of fun! Enjoy yourself but don't get carried away now.... we cant be responsible if you cut up the rug!
